A rare and unusual pair of carved pine banjo playing monkeys, the bodies left to darken with age, the carved bases painted. These classical Italian monkeys are in excellent condition, with one or two minor repairs.The pair of monkeys are late 19th/early 20th c. The monkeys are 15"H 11.5"W 6"D.
A mahogany and brass sea captains telescope, primitively etched into the wood "Capt. Wm M. Greenet. The telescope was owned by Capt. Wm. Greene of Portsmouth, N.H. Probably English
